JJ's Fitness offers One-on-One Personal Training, Partner Training, Bootcamps, as well as specialized MMA Conditioning Camps for athletes looking to amp up their game and get fight-ready. I offer fitness and nutrition coaching that focuses on personalized workout prescriptions for each client in order to help them become more athletic and live a healthier, pain-free life.

Certified Fitness Coach and Founder

A few years back I was not always making healthy choices which led to me feeling depleted each day. At that time, I was training in MMA at Evolucao Thai MMA Academy, although I wasn’t taking it that seriously. After some upheaval in my life I decided that I wanted to make a lifestyle change and signed up for an amateur muay thai match. In preparation for the match I trained intensively at Evolucao for months before going through an 8 week training camp. At that time Funk Roberts was the gym’s Strength and Conditioning coach and I made sure to take advantage of as many of his sessions as possible. It has been easy to stay on this new path after seeing that focusing on eating better, getting proper rest and making healthy choices impacted my performance in the ring as well as in my every day life.

 

I knew that I wanted to work in the fitness industry and decided to become a Certified Personal Trainer. From there I received my certification from NASM, the worldwide leader in fitness education. Since then I have become a Fitness Nutrition Coach, Corrective Exercise Specialist, Low Back Pain Specialist, Metabolic Conditioning Coach, DTS Level 1 Exercise Coach, DTS Conditioning Coach, DTS Hypertrophy Fundamentals Coach, DTS Striking Fundamentals Coach, DTS Kettlebell Fundamentals Coach, TRX Qualified Coach, MMA Conditioning Coach, DTS Habits Coach as well as being certified in the Fundamentals of Training by Canfitpro.

 

It's been an amazing journey and now I want to share the techniques and philosophies I have learned over the years with you.

In 2020 I, like many others, had to pivot when the world shutdown.

 

That’s when JJ’s Fitness was born.

 

I provide In-Person (while social distancing) Personal Training during the spring, summer, and fall months, then switch to Virtual Online Training during the winter season (December – March).

 

Virtual Online training is able to provide you with safe and efficient individualized training whether it be One-on-One, with a Partner, or in a Group/Team/Bootcamp setting, and allows you to continue to train from anywhere whether you are home for the holidays, away on vacation or a business trip, and even when your local gym is shuttered during yet another lockdown.
